I started Megan Finley Photography, with one of the Offbeat Bride editors, Coco. Of course, we specialized in shooting offbeat weddings. Since then, I’ve been promoted from an Offbeat Editor to Associate Publisher, and Coco has been promoted to a managing postion at Nordstroms. So we no longer have the time to shoot weddings. Sad face.
We also love what we do. Seriously… don’t hire us if you don’t want your photographers dancing at your wedding, because we WILL dance, we WILL have fun and we WILL shoot the shit out of you and your amazing wedding.
I’m still available to shoot musical projects — like live shows and recording sessions. I’m a total digital photography nerd, so I’m cool with you getting all the digital negatives of edited, high resolution photos — as many as are fit to print and no weird finagling over prints or prices.
I work with people of all styles, ages, religions, sexual orientations, and everything else. I love freaks and weirdos.
Examples of my work:
- We shot the in(ternet)famous Muppet wedding — bride and groom muppets, In & Out truck, Star Wars cake, groom singing a Weezer song, this wedding has it all!
- Djinnaya and Jason’s wedding of WINNING — Green dress, costumed guests, San Francisco landmarks and a “first cupcake.”
- Claudia and Eddie’s Rockabilly wedding — a retro, Rockabilly wedding in a German themed venue, it totally works.
